Above Board owner and Home Inspector Dan York is a second generation Home Inspector. His father served as the Senior Building Inspector for the Town of Huntington, Long Island, New York for over twenty years. Dan started out in the home construction field in 1978, being a general contractor on Long Island for over 17 years. In 1995 he moved "upstate" to beautiful Kingston, New York and became a licensed Home Inspector.
Dan is a fully licensed and insured New York State Licensed Home Inspector, and is also certified to do Wood Destroying Insect inspections on residential homes and businesses. He is a Certified Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), a member of the Hudson Valley chapter of ASHI, and a member of the New York State Building Officials Conference (NYSBOC) Association.
Dan is known for his professionalism, work ethic, integrity, and vast knowledge of construction principles and practices, gained from a lifetime of experience in the residential building industry.
